What we are

Three things VerifyCarCarrier.com does

01

An independent audit directory

We investigate auto transport brokers using FMCSA federal records and verified third-party review data, then publish a structured score and written verdict for each. Every broker is held to the same standard.

02

A free public resource

Every audit, every score, and every verdict is publicly accessible at no cost. We do not charge brokers to appear, and we do not charge consumers to read.

03

A referral bridge — not a booking platform

When you find a broker you want to contact, we pass your shipment details directly to them. We do not arrange transport, hold your payment, or take a cut of the transaction.

What we are not

  • A carrier — we do not own trucks or move vehicles
  • A marketplace — brokers cannot pay to rank higher
  • A booking platform — we do not process payments or contracts
  • Affiliated with FMCSA, BBB, or any broker listed
  • Sponsored by any company in the auto transport industry

The Audit Process

How every broker is investigated

Every audit follows the same six-step process. No broker gets a shorter or easier review. The process is identical whether the broker scores 20 or 97.

1

FMCSA record pull

We start with the broker's FMCSA SAFER record — verifying active authority status, MC number, USDOT number, insurance filings, and years in business. A broker without current, active authority fails immediately.

2

Cross-platform review analysis

We collect review data from Google, Trustpilot, BBB, Transport Reviews, ConsumerAffairs, Yelp, and Sitejabber. We look at rating averages, total volume, recency trends, and cross-platform consistency — not just the highest score.

3

Review text analysis

Star averages hide patterns. We read through review text to identify recurring issues — unreturned calls, last-minute carrier swaps, price changes after pickup, delayed deliveries. Recurring complaints in any category trigger a flag.

4

Pricing integrity check

Auto transport is notorious for low initial quotes that inflate before delivery. We look for documented bait-and-switch incidents in reviews and complaint records. Brokers with a pattern of price changes receive a red flag regardless of their total score.

5

Score calculation

Each broker is scored out of 100 across six weighted categories: Legitimacy (20 pts), Reputation (25 pts), Customer Experience (20 pts), Pricing (15 pts), Route & Service Fit (10 pts), and Brand & Transparency (10 pts).

6

Written verdict

Every broker receives a written audit conclusion — a plain-language summary of what the data shows, what the broker does well, what to watch out for, and whether we recommend using them. The verdict is published with an audit date.

Reading a Profile

How to read a broker audit

Every broker profile follows the same structure. Here is what each section means.

1

Trust Score

The number out of 100 at the top of every profile. 90+ is Top Recommended. Below 50 is Do Not Recommend. Read the full audit — the number is a starting point, not the whole story.

2

Tier badge

The colored label next to the score (Top Recommended, Strong Option, Use with Caution, etc.) translates the number into a plain recommendation. Green = we recommend. Amber = proceed carefully. Red = do not use.

3

What's Working / Watch Out For

Two short bullet lists that summarize the strongest positives and the most important concerns for that broker specifically — not generic caveats, but findings from that broker's actual data.

4

Score Breakdown

A sidebar showing how the broker performed across each of the six scoring categories. Useful for spotting a broker that scores well overall but has a specific weakness — like strong reputation but poor pricing consistency.

5

Quick Facts

Legal name, MC number, USDOT number, years in business, primary state, BBB rating, Google rating, and pricing style. All pulled from public records.

6

Audit date

Every profile shows when the audit was conducted. Scores are not evergreen — a broker's situation can change. Check the date and verify current FMCSA status before booking.

Getting Matched

How the referral process works

When you find a broker you want to contact, VerifyCarCarrier.com passes your details along — nothing more.

1

You pick the broker

Browse the directory or use the Best For tool. Read the audit, check the score, decide which broker you want to contact. You choose — we do not choose for you.

2

Submit your details

Fill out your pickup/delivery ZIP, vehicle info, and preferred dates on that broker's page. No account required.

3

Only that broker receives your inquiry

Your information is sent to exactly one broker — the one you selected. We do not sell your details to multiple brokers. You will not receive calls from five different companies.

4

The broker contacts you

That broker reaches out directly with a quote. The rest of the transaction is between you and them — VerifyCarCarrier.com is not involved in the booking.

VerifyCarCarrier.com earns no commission from referrals. The referral is free to you and the broker. We do not receive any portion of the transport fee.

After You Submit

What happens after your inquiry is sent

VerifyCarCarrier.com does not disappear after you hit submit. Our support team follows your shipment from inquiry to delivery — and uses every outcome to keep broker profiles accurate.

1

Phone number collected at submission

The quote form asks for your US phone number. We use it only for shipment support — never for marketing, never shared with any other broker.

2

Confirmation text sent immediately

As soon as your inquiry is submitted, you receive a text confirming the broker has received your details. The broker typically responds within 10 to 30 minutes during business hours.

3

Follow-up check-in after 1–2 days

Our support team texts you to ask whether the broker reached out and whether you decided to book. No pressure — we just want to know the outcome.

4

If you booked — post-delivery follow-up

Once your vehicle is delivered, we follow up to ask how the experience went and invite you to leave a comment on the broker's profile. Your feedback becomes part of the verified review record for that broker.

5

If you did not book — we ask why

Declined to book? We ask what happened — broker didn't respond, quote was too high, switched to a different broker. Every reason is logged and factored into the broker's monthly profile update.

Your phone number is used exclusively for shipment support. It is never sold, never shared with other brokers, and never used for marketing.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Will multiple brokers contact me after I submit a request?

No. When you submit a quote request on VerifyCarCarrier.com, your information goes to exactly one broker — the one you selected from the directory. We are not a lead aggregator. We do not sell your contact details to multiple brokers or share your inquiry with anyone other than the broker you chose.

Do brokers pay to be listed on VerifyCarCarrier.com?

No. Brokers cannot pay to appear, pay to improve their score, or pay to have a negative verdict removed. The directory includes brokers we actively do not recommend — a pay-to-play platform would never publish those.

How is VerifyCarCarrier.com different from review sites like Trustpilot or Google?

Review sites aggregate what consumers submit. We conduct structured audits — pulling federal records, analyzing cross-platform review patterns, and applying a weighted scoring framework. A broker can have a high Trustpilot score and still score poorly with us if their FMCSA record or pricing patterns raise concerns.

What happens when I submit a quote request?

Your shipment details are sent directly to the broker you selected. You will receive a text confirmation immediately. Our support team follows up 1–2 days later to ask whether the broker reached out and whether you booked. After delivery, we ask how the experience went and invite you to leave a review on the broker's profile. VerifyCarCarrier.com does not arrange transport or earn a commission — we are a referral and a support layer.

Can a broker ask you to change or remove their score?

No. Brokers can contact us to flag a factual error — if an MC number changed or a BBB rating was updated — and we will re-audit and publish the corrected data. They cannot request a higher score, remove their listing, or suppress a negative verdict.

How often are audits updated?

Each profile shows its audit date. We re-audit brokers periodically — particularly when review data changes significantly or when we receive a credible report of a major change in operations. We do not guarantee real-time accuracy; always verify current FMCSA authority before booking.

Are customer reviews on VerifyCarCarrier.com verified?

Reviews left directly on VerifyCarCarrier.com profiles are attributed with an optional order number (masked to the last four digits) to indicate a verified shipment. The review data used in scoring comes from independently-operated platforms — Google, Trustpilot, BBB, and others — which have their own verification processes.

Why do you publish brokers you don't recommend?

Because consumers search for those brokers by name and deserve accurate information. A directory that only lists recommended brokers is incomplete — and potentially deceptive if someone searches for a broker with a troubled record and finds nothing.
