Pickup planning
Jacksonville
Regional context for Florida; confirm restrictions at your exact address.
- Road network and location
- I-95 runs down the Atlantic side, I-75 serves the Gulf side and South Florida, and I-4 connects central Florida markets. The Keys and Panhandle add different routing considerations.
- Loading access to discuss
- Condo, gated-community, and resort rules can prevent direct loading. Give the dispatcher the access restrictions and agree on a nearby truck-accessible handoff.
- Weather and scheduling
- Seasonal residents move south in fall and north in spring. Hurricane disruptions can change schedules independently of demand, so compare cancellation and rescheduling terms.
- Before authorizing pickup
- Do not book a return shipment on the assumption that it will cost the same as the outbound leg. Quote each direction using the actual dates, vehicle, and locations.
