Pickup planning
Portland
Regional context for Oregon; confirm restrictions at your exact address.
- Road network and location
- I-5 links Portland, Salem, and Eugene; I-84 runs east from Portland. Central Oregon and coastal destinations often require an additional route beyond those corridors.
- Loading access to discuss
- Steep driveways, coastal lanes, and tight Portland streets may need an alternate loading location. Confirm the meeting point with the actual carrier.
- Weather and scheduling
- Winter pass conditions and wildfire-related closures can affect travel. Ask whether your planned route crosses mountains, even when the destination has mild weather.
- Before authorizing pickup
- Compare door delivery with a mutually agreed metro handoff for a remote destination. Any transfer, extra miles, or local delivery fee should be in the written quote.
