Pickup planning
Virginia Beach
Regional context for Virginia; confirm restrictions at your exact address.
- Road network and location
- I-95 serves northern Virginia and Richmond, I-64 reaches Hampton Roads, and I-81 follows the western corridor. Coastal and mountain shipments have different approaches.
- Loading access to discuss
- Townhouse streets, apartment lots, and military gates can limit transporter access. Confirm a legal loading point and the receiving person’s availability.
- Weather and scheduling
- Northern Virginia traffic, coastal storms, and mountain winter conditions can each change timing. Ask for route-specific planning rather than a generic statewide promise.
- Before authorizing pickup
- For a Norfolk-area military or port shipment, clarify terminal or base entry and release documents. Door-to-door wording does not guarantee access to a controlled facility.
