“Car” is not enough information when ground clearance, width, height, suspension, or tie-down points have changed. Specialty transport starts with a truthful build sheet and photographs.
Describe the modification
Provide actual ride height, width, length, weight, wheel and tire setup, tow points, running condition, and any fragile bodywork. Include the lowest point and the ramp approach the vehicle can tolerate.
Confirm loading and securement
Ask for the ramp, winch, lift-gate, wheel strap, and clearance plan. Soft straps should contact approved areas without touching brake lines, aero, exhaust, or suspension components.
Document special handling
Put every non-standard requirement on the quote and bill of lading. If the carrier arrives with different equipment, pause and verify a safe alternative instead of accepting a rushed improvisation.
